living inside camera obscura.

Thursday 6 October 2011

Ever wonder what it's like inside a camera obscura? Cuban photographer, Aberlardo Morrell, can show you. By using a camera obscura, Morrell projects images outside of a window into an interior space. He then takes long exposure photographs the projected image using a large format camera. I'd love to see this works live. I can imagine how a swell of movement outside the window would intensify the experience- a realtime layering of inside and outside. This rates pretty high on my awesome-o-meter.
