styling for dulux: seek

Friday, 2 November 2012

Remember that epic styling job I did a while back? I can finally share the images with you. Hooray!

I was so honoured when Dulux approached me to do styling for their 2013 Color Forecast campaign. I mean, I talk about my favourite Dulux colours like they're old friends so naturally I was thrilled  to be given the opportunity to work with an incredible brand.

I was given three palettes and styled one room plus one vignette for  each palette. I'll share each palette over the next three Fridays.

First up is the "Seek" palette. The seek palette draws on the idea of collecting, gathering and curating. The spaces are a collage of objects that possess past histories from disparate times and places. These objects have either been inherited, thrifted or self made and are regarded as treasured finds and displayed with pride. The aesthetic outcome is eclectic, relaxed, and boldly mismatched. Though mismatched, the consistent colour palette brings the objects together into a singular story.
