and the winner is...

Wednesday 7 September 2011

Using the random number generator, the lucky winner of the L'uccello giveaway is comment #41: Mady Dooijes. Congratulations Mady! Please email me at moleskine.blogger@gmail.com with your delivery address and I'll send the package as soon as possible.

Mady happens to be the author of the blog, Abundance, which I only discovered last week and instantly fell in love with. If you love romantic, ephemeral images, I strongly suggest you head on over.

Thanks to all those who entered. I really enjoyed reading every single comment and had to restrain myself from responding to comments and spoiling the random number generator system. If only I could give the pack to all of you...

From top left: Concrete ceiling at Cologne Bonn airport by Murphy/Jahn Architects, Detail of Untitled Tara Donovan installation, Junyo Wantanabe pleted neckpiece, Black pleated dress by Akira Isogawa for Helmut Magazine, Cream dress F/W 2010/2011 by McQueen, Ballerina pleat dress by Juliette Hogan, Origami dress by Marie Taillefer, Pleated mustard blazer by Anthropologie, Valentino asymmetric ruffled top, Yarra Bend House skylight by John Wardle Architects photographed by Trevor Mein, Detail of "Rememberance" installation by Tokujin Yoshioka.
As an aside, above is the mood board I submitted for my interview at BurdaStyle. It illustrates my sewing inspiration, highlighting my interest in architectural garment construction with a simultaneous interest in a soft, feminine expression. It's more a picture of where I want to be with my sewing than what I can actually do at this stage. Unfortunately, they cropped it in half for the website. Rather than let all that hard work go to waste, here is the full version.

  3. Really beautiful. I've always been interested in the cross-section of architecture and fashion. We had a great exhibition here (well in L.A.) on the two of them.
