in the city weekly.

Sunday 20 November 2011

I was recently invited to participate in "The Grid," a segment in The City Weekly about things to see and do around Melbourne. Doing this was such a pleasure given how much I adore this city. Read the full interview here. Below are some snapshots which relate to my responses.

My most recent purchase from my favourite clothing boutique, Alice Euphemia. I immediately fell in love with the shoulder detail on this black frock by The Eleventh Hour.
The oh-so-indulgent hot chocolate from The Hardware Societe. I recommend you share it so you have room for their macarons too. I maintain that The Hardware Societe have the best macarons in Melbourne.
Festival programs I recently picked up from The Malthouse Theatre. The Malthouse has become a regular hang out since dance class is just next door. It's the most convenient place for catch ups and planning the event calendar.
A collection of classics from my favourite second hand bookshop, Howard Bolton Bookshop in Northcote. The store is open weekends only and is located in the original living room of a Victorian terrace house. Charm factor is high in this quiet spot. (Note that the books are normally in much better condition. I just have a knack for slowly destroying books as I read.)
Me on the trapeze at Moomba earlier this year. The class was hosted by Flying Trapeze Australia who have since opened a permanent indoor rig in Blackburn. Still can't believe that's me up there. Photo taken by my friend, Jeannette with a bit of editing by me.

Thank you to The City Weekly for inviting me to participate in this segment!
