However, I recently discovered the fascinating work of Swedish Architecture student, Emma Sandvik. Her conceptual studies are some of the most beautiful I've ever seen. The qualities of light and the suggestions of structure and form are incredibly interesting. Thinking about how these might generate ideas for architecture gets me all excited.
I'm reminded of how much freedom there is as a student. To explore different media as a design tool, to think purely about creating spaces without budgets and building codes and to have the luxury of an entire semester to explore concepts so vigorously. It almost makes me want to go back. Almost.

Images found via Emma Sandvik's Pinterest. I think everybody should pin a bit of their own work!
