intra by carlie trosclair

I'm finding the washed out tones, draping fabric and textured transparency of Carlie Trosclair's installation "Intra" seriously tantalizing.

Without having read an artist's statement, the flesh coloured sheer fabric emerging from the peeling wallpaper alludes to themes of intimacy, vulnerability and the search for some place safe, private and hidden.

It takes me back to my final year project where I explored the connection between architecture and clothing. We won't talk about that time too much for fear of getting vacuum sucked into that obsessive-crazy-brain state.
