la muna

Friday 14 December 2012

Lately, I have been so obsessed with super thin detailing that I'd forgotten the power of chunkier expressions. Enter La Muna chalet in Aspen by Oppenheim Architecture + Design in it's chunky timber glory. The expressed timber structure, the raw timber cladding and the heavy stonework are what give this space warmth and life.

I'm also a huge fan of the outdoor fireplace and spa, which make outdoor living possible in such wintery conditions. With knock out mountain views like that, I'd be up for a bit of outdoor time too.

Is that a stone clad door is see?
