more than maps.

I've spotted some pretty interesting maps lately but these geographical studies by Eric Fisher may just take the cake. Eric has created these studies using information from Twitter feeds, location tagged photos and Census data. I'm always fascinated when information that seems so rational can produce such beautiful, evocative imagery.

Ethnicity, New York 1010. See further information below.

Ethnicity in Alviso, California. "Maps of racial and ethnic divisions in US cities updated for Census 2010. Red is White, Blue is Black, Green is Asian, Orange is Hispanic, Yellow is Other, and each dot is 25 residents. Data from Census 2010. A study of who photographs London and where these photos are taken. Blue indicates photos taken by locals, red for tourists and yellow for the unknown.
Nashville circulation routes plotted using Twitter Geotags.
San Francisco Bay Area circulation routes plotted using Twitter Geotags.
