rammed earth.

Tuesday 3 April 2012

One of my all time favourite materials has got to be rammed earth. Perhaps what I love most is the way it works with light. Light falls so beautifully on the texture of the material adding instant romance and drama to even the most austere of spaces. The light also reveals that inviting tactility of the material.

Okay, now somebody call me and ask me to design a cottage in the country. Or a winery in the hills. Stat.
