casa del agua by thinc

Tuesday 22 January 2013

I love and need water as much as the next person, but it must be a challenge to create excitement around an establishment that sells nothing other than water. Enter Thinc, a collaboration between Hector Esrawe for interiors, Ignacio Cadena for the graphics and Nouvel Studio behind the glassware. The magic for me is how cohesively all three disciplines work together. Simplicity, earthiness and timelessness permeate every aspect of the branding. The result is inviting and intriguing enough to make me want to grab a glass and stay a while.

You can read more about the concepts here but to be honest, I found that some of the designer's quotes teetered into the land of pretentiousness. I think the work speaks for itself, which is what matters most in my books.
